Puentes is excited to announce that we will be hosting the 1st annual Latinx Research Week to showcase research involving Latinx populations and highlight Latinx researchers. 

This is a great opportunity to get experience presenting your research, getting feedback and it looks excellent on a CV.  

There are also opportunities to learn more about the interesting research being conducted by UM faculty and ask them questions. They can be about their research, tips on how to get research experience, what they look for in research assistants or any other questions you can think of!

Our welcome program is an orientation for incoming Latinx graduate students and will be held September 8th from 9:30 am- 5:30 pm on campus. Food will be provided. The program will cover topics such as campus and community resources, how to manage stress, and how to navigate the University of Michigan-all through a Latinx student perspective. Students will also have the opportunity to network with other graduate students across departments and meet staff and other community members!
